Entrepreneurship Minor
The Minor in Entrepreneurship provides an opportunity for students to learn about entrepreneurship – the process of creating value through recognizing and developing opportunities. The Entrepreneurship Minor focuses on developing the students’ entrepreneurial mindset and complements the student’s major area of study by offering a means of putting theory and science into practice.
The entrepreneurial mindset includes initiative, flexibility, creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem solving. The entrepreneurial mindset provides a competitive advantage in every possible career-pathway.
Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in the U.S. economy and is a key driver of individual wealth, gross domestic product output, and job creation.
A student seeking a minor in entrepreneurship must successfully complete 15 credits in courses approved for use in the entrepreneurial studies program. Our program is open to enrolled students of any major. Our courses provide students with opportunities for direct interaction with industry leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and expert practitioners. At least three of the courses in a minor must be taken as elective requirements outside of the major requirements.
